Groucho was a shattering experienceWhilst working on the BRIGHT THOUGHTS production "Groucho in Toto" at the Shaw Theatre, TVi cameraman Derek Chason was covering the final minutes of the show with his usual degree of enthusiasm.
Groucho, however, in the guise of Jon Rumney, was running late for another appearance in the West End, and in his haste to depart made an unscheduled dive for the wings. Determined to capture the final seconds of the stars' retreat, Derek, with eye firmly glued on to the electronic viewfinder, followed in hot pursuit straight through a plate-glass table. Despite the unnerving experience of having shards of glass dancing around his ankles Derek continued to record the show with his usual aplomb - the mark of a true professional. "You're in good company with TVi." Broadcast, 9 May 1983
